RAPTOR RESEARCH GROUP

Jenner Headlands HawkWatch Citizen Scientist Group
Founded by the late Larry Broderick, the Jenner Headlands HawkWatch is part of the West County Hawkwatch organization. We are located on Hawk Hill in the Wildlands Conservancy's Sonoma Coast Jenner Headlands Preserve. The Jenner Headlands Hawkwatch is committed to the scientific study, enjoyment, and appreciation of raptor migration.
During this annual fall raptor migration, we collect critical data on bird-of-prey migration. This data is used by the Wildlands Conservancy and uploaded to the Hawk Migration Association; it can be viewed in the links below.
West County HawkWatch (WCHW) is a regional group of interpretive specialists and photographers specializing in raptor identification and the natural history of birds of prey. Passionate about nature, hawks, conservation, and wildlife, most members have been studying and working with nature their whole lives, specializing in raptors for two decades.
